[kictanet] ITU/ATU and CCK in closed door meeting

Alice K, WAmbua,

Sounds all good - but it is also fair to say that ITU is really under no obligation to include everyone in their meetings. And they really should not apologise for that since that is how they are constituted by government treaties...

So methinks Fiona crashed into a Regulator /ITU meeting and she got kicked out accordingly :-) Am not saying its fair, am just saying I perfectly understand where ITU is coming from and will only change if the same Govts decide to change the nature of the treaties inorder to give smaller fish (Wanjiku) some say.

But then again, should Wanjiku have a say when already she authorised Govt. to speak on her behalf at ITU? Why would we want to duplicate issues?

walu.

ATU was only asked to co-host and facilitate the logistics of the local arrangements. The support of CCK was sought to assist with some logistical arrangements and of course attend as regulators.

I do not know exactly what happened....
>We apologize as co-conveners for what you have reported because they ought to have let you in as there was nothing secret.

I use the phrase 'seemingly secret' because when one of the regional regulators asked to meet with TESPOK and we showed up at the meeting an hour ago; ATU/CCK sent Hilton Security to kick us out of the discussion like there was something we were not suppose to hear.
