An interesting discussion i had this morning with one of the registrars in a
public university presents a very dire and wanting situation in education in
Computer Science. (Pure & applied) whose conclusion was pretty much that
there just arent postgraduates in computer science in the country. It came
as a shocker and since my background is in Engineering and IT, i am inclined
to ask...

What is the status of manpower in the country in the discipline? how many
people can qualify as lecturers, associate lecturers and professors in the
science?
