I actually think that the AU's position - where they prefer a community
based approach towards activating the domain - is a much better, more
inclusive and transparent way.

I also agree that AFTLD can and should take the initiative to show
leadership on the matter, of course, working closely with other stakeholder
groups and organisations like AfriNIC, AfNOG etc...
