[kictanet] GENDER INTERNET GOVERNANCE EXCHANGE AND FEMINIST TECH EXCHANGE ON DIGITAL SECURITY

Dear Listers,

KICTANet, in partnership with APC’s Our Voices Our Future (OVOF) project,
will host a two-day gender internet governance exchange workshop (GIGX) for
structurally silenced communities and a one-day Feminist Tech Exchange on
September 23, 2022, focusing on digital security.


KICTANet invites 5 Listers to participate in a 3-days Gender Internet
Governance and Feminist Tech Exchange session. We request you/or your
organization to nominate participants by September 17th, COB to take part
in this program. Their travel and participation will be sponsored by
KICTANet.

We invite nominations by Listers from structurally marginalised groups by
17th September COB to take part in this program. Their travel and
participation will be sponsored by KICTANet.


The objective of the training is to build capacity in the following areas;



   1.

   The existing internet governance forums at the national, regional and
   global levels.
   2.

   Knowledge sharing workshop on the intersection between gender and
   internet governance.
   3.

   A simulation exercise to assess whether the participants have understood
   the various roles played by the various internet governance stakeholders.
   4.

   Digital security skills.
