I daresay the foreword, succinctly and aptly captures the letter and spirit in the draft -a real sure way to go. 10 years is quite a span of time in the digital world. I opine strides and gains made in innovation internally and re-alignments to the global trends need to be highlighted clearly and possibly captured empirically, and also not to forget the pertinent failures and lessons learnt thereof in the period under review, in order to build on and to sustain the momentum going forward. Now, we await the moderated discussion..

On a lighter note, the old guard drafting the policy have done a good job, they nearly included Blockchains and Cryptocurrencies in the document. I'm just reminded that the guy behind Ethereum, the decentralised public blockchain platform, Mr Vitalik Buterin was born in 1994.

Governments in Africa rejected the Internet, the rest is history. Do we want the same to be replicated 20 years into the future when bitcoins become the world norm?

I have extracted the main contents of the document to illustrate the extensive effort that has gone into the document, and the need to have a structured dialogue.
