By the way, we do not need (new) legislation to have an organisation that
speaks for professionals or any group for that matter.
The group just needs to organise themselves under existing frameworks eg
form a society or union or association and slowly build a reputation that
will earn it the title of the "voice" in that sector.
There is no Act of Parliament just for KNUT yet KNUT must be consulted in
matters education. KEPSA is not a statutory body and yet if legislation
required "a representative from the most representative body of private
sector" they would easily qualify.
Let existing ICT professionals bodies gain legitimacy in the society
through their work, not through legislation.
