@Mwendwa, @Ali,
I am sure you know that I am bound by the Board NDA not to divulge anything regarding the fewer number of East African candidates during the elections. However, with the recent and relentless push by the community for increased transparency and openness, the board may, at a later stage agree to publish a report on what transpired in the working group of Nomination Committee 2015.
walu.nb: meanwhile those with the leaked emails may enjoy a good read and join the dots - but it will NOT be the official board position :-)

Transparency is one of the cornerstones of Corporate Governance and the Board is ultimately answerable to the people that elected it..

Its a transition thing.  Normally, previous board members do not resign but stay in office till the new ones assume the position on 1st week of June - 3-4weeks later.  Just for the avoidance of doubt and clarity, I remain in office to usher in the new director even though my counterpart opted to resign. 

I now Mark has tried to allude to the issues, but they are complicated and perhaps unfair to actually attempt contextualize and recap six months of events leading to the unprecedented resignations in just two sentences.  Furthermore, it may not be necessary and that's why I urged members not to focus on the past but celebrate the future ( I believe its bright) - following the election of the new director Eng. Abibu.
