Something that has come out this moring that I don't think we're paying, as
a nation, enough attention to. 2 criminals were arrested after they
threatened to release confidential NIC Bank customer information:
http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/Corporate-News/-NIC-Bank-database-hacking/-/539550/2587108/-/fdi7i3z/-/index.html

The article is extremely sparse with details on the actual hacking leaving
so many unanswered questions.
How did they get access to this data? Inside job? Hack over the internet?
Banks are probably the most secure systems we have that we don't know how
it was done makes it so we can't protect ourselves from similar attacks.
How and who caught them?
What has the bank done to prevent this from happening again? Have they
informed their customers of the breach? Are they obligated to?

These are the most important that come to mind right now though I'm sure
there are others. Kenya's lack of a Data Protection law has left us, the
consumer, extremely vulnerable, unable to even enforce the need for data
protection amongst companies here.

All the best,
