[kictanet] Online Violence Against Women

Dear Ebele Okobi,

I would love to attend. I am a writer, blogger, filmmaker and founder of
ROFFEKE (Rock 'n' Roll Film Festival, Kenya). Also, I am an alumnus of the
AWEPON Internship programme. AWEPON stands for African Women's Economic
Policy Network. The online world, just like the offline world, is still
largely male dominated. I hope the issue of online violence against women
in terms of online discrimination (the gender digital divide) will be
explored. This is important because the 21st century economy is largely an
online economy so those who are discriminated online will and do suffer
economic consequences.
