Fellowship Program Brings Global Voices Together at ICANN | Fellows
Announced for ICANN55 in Marrakech

11 December 2015

45 fellows from 35 countries have been selected to participate in ICANN's
Fellowship program at the 55th Public Meeting in Marrakech, 5-10 March
2016. Of those forty-five, 27 are returning fellows from at least one
previous meeting and various experience levels, while an additional 7
alumni of the Program will be coaches to the 22 attending as first time
fellows. The selected fellows represent all sectors of society including
civil, government, academia, facets of the business community, technical,
security and end user groups. The country code name supporting organization
is also represented.

An independent selection committee assessed the 380 fellowship applications
received for this meeting; 92 of those met minimum requirements for
possible selection. Priority is given to applicants who not only meet
minimum program requirements, but who are current residents of developing
and least developed nations and who are interested in participating in
ICANN and its supporting organizations, advisory committees, stakeholder
and constituency groups.
