Respectfully, I disagree with you.

It’s not the act of sharing one’s net assets and income that will stop corruption in itself. In that you are right. It’s what we do with that information.

So for example in Bob’s case. He, by virtue of sharing his information has said that his income and assets list, by virtue of him being a public servant is not a private matter anymore and you can track them when he was CEO and when he leaves. That in itself is (or should at least be!) a major deterrent of income accumulation using underhand methods.

It is a part of a bigger solution. But its a beginning.
