Cable and TV companies are faced by a familiar problem in the ICT industry.

If they go the Netflix way, they will end up cannibalising their cash cow.
Plus the Netflix model needs a lot of investment.

Most companies though prefer to just fight those cannibalising their model
and instead die a slow death, like Kodak.
