Hey Edith,
It appears to me, just like Prophets, innovations are never accepted at
home. Even Mpesa and Ushahidi became famous outside Kenya before we owned
them locally. But now that the Nigerian government has owned it and made a
success out of it, we could use it as a case study to "convince" the powers
that be to consider using it. Some of these initiatives though are actually
better initiated and have a high success rate outside the government
confines given the obvious ownership and procurement issues, just saying.
