[kictanet] Posta Kenya closes 56 outlets

Kivuva,

We need to have faith in ourselves all you need is someone who can look at the organisation as a single organism, PSK is like a highway just because someone has bought a brand new Subaru Impreza or BMW X6 is not reason to uproot the entire road, all that is needed is the covering of potholes and the occasional re carpeting.

Please be informed that neither Micheal Joseph nor Bob Collimore are responsible for the success of Safaricom and its related products it is all about what Micheal coined as "Kenyans (that is you and I) and their peculiar calling habits".

Regards

We need a great thinker, who can demolish the box altogether, who is not cowered and arm twisted by the mighty and powerful, who can articulate and convince the owners of the country, and at the same time be diplomatic.  Somebody who commands respect in his achievements, and executive reasoning. Only a round peg in a squire hole can transform Posta. A name that comes to mind is Michael Joseph, although now he plays in a much bigger league

>Yet despite the dire straits the state corporation seems to be in it still could reinvent itself. Posta is in dire need of re-inventing itself ala Deutsche Post which reverse took-over DHL and benefited from its logistics and savvy managerial skills. Is the semi-privatization of Posta Kenya imminent? Is it the only thing that can save it? Should the Government/Posta seriously look at this option? I dare say we must move poste haste (pun intended) or be confined to the fate of the US Postal Service which seems incapable of getting out of its morose state.
