[kictanet] 4 CEOS in 5 years? Something doesn't seem right at KENIC

I think trying to compare KE with any other country brings in so many
variables to consider that it just doesn't make sense - in his particular
aspect.

Kenyans walked into the .com generation and never walked out. I remember
how difficult it was to convince a Kenyan that a .KE domain was as good as
a .COM domain - they always thought .COM is it, everything else inferior.
The uptake of e-mail addresses (and the people who use e-mail addresses are
the same ones you expect to take up domain names) in the .COM
(yahoo|hotmail) space will definately be higher than, say,
najivuniakuwamkenya.co.ke

Is the .UK registry structured along the same principles as the .KE one? I
doubt.

Using any other registry's performance as a benchmark to measure the
performance of the .KE would be setting a very unrealistic target for KENIC.
