Emmanuel,

 

I think that is a brilliant idea.an ICT Commission with board members vetted
publicly, held to account, act as an oversight body, and a monitor all
matters ICT in government and private sector. As we speak, there are so many
quasi ICT entities (read boards) within most ministries, who at the end of
the day, despite the fact that they are publicly funded, deliver wanting
service to the industry. So where do we find sun an Honorable Member, that
is will not be "compromised" to sponsor such a  bill?

I suggest that we try to lobby to have an apex ICT society representing all
spheres of ICT be entrenched in an Act of parliament (maybe the ICT Bill)
just like the accountants and lawyers have ICPAK and LSK respectively. I
believe this is a better way of having a more representative and effective
organization. I don't know what's your take on this.
