Ideally you should identify a registrar of choice, registrars are accredited
by various registries in the case of country code top level domains or gtlds
to resell the domains on their behalf. In this case you will be refered to
us the registrant (owner) of the domain and ideally once you pay the agreed
fee per year or two years, the registrar provides a technical contact
(Registar himself) and an Administrative contact to the registry.
On the second question in most cases the web designer can opt to put the
name of his company at the bottom of the website , for marketing purposes or
your company name can appear (Copyright) remember a website is like a
brochure and you dont want people copying your brochure and masquerading as
you, though it is not a must that the name of the person to whom the domain
is registered appears at the bottom.
