It does matter, because it's the taxpayer's money.
If the data was hosted here in Kenya, some Kenyans would get employment as a
consequence (if you want to call it so). It may be expensive (than having in
the US), perhaps but at the end of the day, it would be better to have that
money spent here at home, than in the US.
My shortsighted view.
