CCK invites comments on the revised postal/ courier license

The Commission has today initiated a public consultation on the modified 
postal/courier licence.
  
The modification of the licence is inspired by feedback received from the 
postal/courier industry on the need to effect certain changes in the 
postal/courier licence to take into account new and emerging issues within the 
sector.  The Commission maintains various avenues of consultation and feedback 
from the communications industry with a view to facilitating continual 
improvement of both the regulatory and operating environment. 

The changes are also meant to align postal/courier licences with the Kenya 
Information and Communications (Postal and Courier Services) Regulations, 2010. 

The proposed postal/courier licence is intended to replace the existing one and 
is available at http://www.cck.go.ke/current_consultations/

The deadline for submitting representations/comments is 28th February 2011
