Dear Listers

We had a successful and informative visit to the Nyeri area today. We were
on the road from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Thanks to Patrick Mule who drove us
through tarmac, marram, and sometimes bush!!!

We successfully visited one pasha center, smartedge east africa limited, in
Kiambu, Juja, Ruiru. The owner Mr. Geoffery Kamau was super qualified and
very visionary, and we learned and enormous amount, but they had not really
launched yet.

With regard to the *safaricom tier 2 list,* we visited Sisicom cyber at Juja
JKUAT. We visited a place called Milligan Heritage in Thika, Juja, which was
not on the list but was quite good.

In Sagana, we visited Top Tech computers, which was really struggling.

We visited Kayoma Sacco in Karatina, which the list said was in Sagana, but
is not in sagana, it is in Karatina, across from Uchumi. It was a good
place.

With regard to the *safaricom tier 1* list jomtech cyber is not in othaya
constituency, and the phone number was for someone in Kerugoya, who had
applied to be a digital village, but did not succeed. So, it is not there.
We visited Othaya, and did not see anything that looked like a DV.

Mac nut farm products appears to be operational in Kiraini, based on our
phone call, but we took a wrong turn and went to Mukurweini. We searched all
over town, and could not find anything that looked like a digital village
there, although there are allegedly two on the list.

Our wrong turn resulted in us going to Sagana the back way on a nicely paved
road that suddenly turned to dirt, and so we hurtled through brush and
darkness on a windy, hilly dirt road, and prayed for the best, eventually
arriving back in Nairobi.

So, all in all, an exciting trip.
