Humm... With all due respect we need to be very careful not to use
cultural norms to determine international norms.
Let me explain;
In Africa we use community based support systems/ merit or not, which
is part of our culture to make decisions.
Largely in developed markets they use personal/ individul systems/
merits to make decisions.
In some cases the tribulist mentality may prevail which can be the
case for ICANN. This has been alluded to in your own comment about the
current director. ( no personal comment).
The two options above mean and equal many different outcomes in the
way we operate and do business. Plus not to mention fifdoms within the
current Internet businesses/policy organizations.
On point though, we do come out ahead and exceed expectations even
where we have limited resources.
In other areas the very limited resources are used to manipulate
groups and individuals. So when well seasoned international players
that we call International / Global citizens use new ways of operating
we consider this an out right sell out!!! I beleive it's time we
leveled the playing field through international acceptable debates and
positioning for new entrants into the internet market place.
My two cents... Still very interested in collaboration and not via
mailing lists. Business is not done on mailing lists.
