Your concern on harmonisation is pertinent. It is indeed a cornerstone of eac initiative towards the single market, and eventual political federation . In this regard eac has commisioned studies in the last two years to review and  develop a framework for policy and regulatory harmonisation funded by EU. In addition itu is doing a similar activity for SSA with a component of eac.  What i think we need to see is the outcome of this effort and better still  a process to engage the actors in the ecosystem

I was wondering how much work if any has been done in trying to harmonise
these regulations within the EA region. If not are there any plans of doing
this?  Or are there any anticipated benefits of harmonizing or not.
