To any East African traveler coming down to S.A., be prepared for
Internet drama. Wireless at Ifisi Community Centre in Mbeya, Tanzania
is slow & cyber cafe's in town are quite expensive. However, there's an
arcade in Lusaka, Zambia (Microlink I-Zone Cafe) that is awesome - in
terms of speed & service. We also had an easy time using wireless at
Fawlty Towers Guest House in Livingstone, Zambia till the wee hours of
the morning. Kasane town, in Botswana, has wireless Internet in the
C.B.D. area, though connection is a problem; we had no access at our
Thebe River Lodge campsite. But, we managed to browse for a short while
at Kasane Computers this morning. This is after being told that we
can't use our flash disks at the Post Office cyber. We're hoping good
things await us in Francistown's Tati River Lodge.
