Aloo,

No one doubts the phenomenal benefits MPESA/ZAP has within our community. Indeed I use MPESA regularly and would hate to do without it.  

However, I think the issue is more about the thin line btwn Super-corporates and the State. Cases are many, Microsoft vs European Union, and also if you have been following the US-politics, you will realize that Obama's medicare plan is bogged down by corporate interests that define the political direction of elected members...

In other words, even the US does not have straight answers on this matters, but it is important to acknowledge both the benefits and dangers therein...
