[kictanet] Seacom goes live?

If I recall correctly we have been discussing these cables for
some years and there were figures of the anticipated dramatic
price drop, even if these were just estimates. Now we do not have
figures?

At some risk let me say that I did not say that we first have
to recover our investment but said we must take that into
account. Let's not make rash assumptions about cost. I hear
figures of costs that I have yet to see. Prices will come down
for sure but I do not have a figure. We would be pretty stupid
to invest nearly US$45 million in the fiber cables and price
it so that no one uses it.

It was more saddening to hear it from Michael Joseph. I wonder
what PS Ndemo will say on this. We are not calling for price
regulation. We are calling for transfer of benefits to users.
We beg if thats what we must do to be heard
