In perhaps a preview of how things would turn out if governments
controlled the global Internet (i.e. captured ICANN), the
Government of China has banned individuals from registering
internet domain names and launched a review of millions of
existing personal websites in the toughest government censorship
drive so far on the internet. To register a domain name one must
now present a business registration certificate
(http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/bc9684f6-e95d-11de-be51-00144feab49a.h
tml?nclick_check=1). This type of top-down decision-making is
common in China resulting in numerous pronouncements and edicts,
some, like this one, mind-boggling. It reminds one of the
mushroom management style where the people are kept in the dark
and once in while some cow dung is flung in their direction.
True wealth is the ability to let go of your possessions
