[kictanet] Free PC and cheap Internet for SMEs/Home Users

V.G. Question because I have a BIG problem with the all too common only question from ISPs "How many PCs do you want to conenect?" When one buys bandwidth they are free to connect as many PCs as they wish. ISP are not neutral as to advice because they wish users to buy the next most expensive.

They should tell users "We sell our bandwidth (x) at price (y)" and allow us the freedom to decide on bandwidth usage (i.e. how many PCs to connect to our internal LAN or if we want to set up own neighbourhood hot spots.

Early 2004, one ISP told me "it is illegal to share my link with my neighbours" and they disconnected. I reported to case CCK and they softened. I think too often ISPs want to the whole cake to it all alone.

Thanks for raising this.
