[Kictanet] Invitation to a meeting to discuss the Kenya Information

Dear Colleagues

The Kenya ICT Action Network (KICTANet) invites you to a one-day workshop
Meeting on Friday 16 June 2006 from 8:00 to 5:30 to discuss the Information
Communication Bill 2006 at the Jacaranda Hotel, Gazebo Banda.

The Ministry of Information and Communications finalized the ICT Policy
Early this year and Cabinet approved it. Subsequently, KICTANet has
Established a team to facilitate a comprehensive review of the draft ICT
Bill to make substantial recommendations for those who will finalize it. The
Key issues to be addressed include context, construction and implementation
Of the bill.
