The Masterplan is meant to guide the government as well as investors while planning, designing, and deploying ICT initiatives for the country over the next 10 years. The master plan highlighted 19 flagship initiatives that the country considers as critical in accelerating the digital transformation of the nation.</span>

This is expected to create employment opportunities for our youth and spur the country's economic growth. To kick off this initiative, the government through the Ministry of ICT, Innovation, and Youth Affairs together with the County Government of Bomet has identified land and site for the establishment of the Software Factory.</span></div>

The government has planned to tap these talents through establishment of the Software factory to provide the necessary environment for their innovation and creativity. The government plan is to establish the factory with private sector investors under public-private partnership arrangement.</span></div>
