a multi-stakeholder platform for people and institutions interested and involved
in ICT policy and regulation. The network aims to act as a catalyst for reform
in the ICT sector in support of the national aim of ICT enabled growth and
development. KICTANet adopts a community driven approach in the discussions.</span><span style="font-size:12pt;"></span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;background:white;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12pt;">In 2007, KICTANet conducted an
institutional assessment to gauge its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities for
growth as well as threats. The assessment assisted KICTANet to strategically
position itself as an authoritative ICT policy discussion listserve that has
attracted participation from individuals across stakeholder groups in the
country. The platform also has a following within East African the region and
globally.</span><span style="font-size:12pt;"></span></p>

<p class="ecxMsoNormal" style="text-align:justify;background:white;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-size:12pt;">KICTANet seeks to analyse the discussions
that have taken place on the platform since 2007. The analysis will give a
historical view of the activities of the forum and also inform the direction
that KICTANet will take in future, based on the trends in participation.</span><span style="font-size:12pt;"></span></p>

KICTANet seeks </span><span style="font-size:12pt;">a project associate to spearhead this assignment, and five (5) Interns. </span></p>
