issues that contribute to their wellbeing and global peace by completing a survey designed specifically for girls and boys between the ages of 14 and 25.<o:p></o:p></span></h4>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto">At the press briefing, Dr Fred Matiang’i announced that the programme, will be run through a multiplicity of government agencies. The Ministry of ICT, through the Cabinet Secretary,
will chair the oversight committee, while ICT Authority, CEO, Victor Kyalo will oversee the project technical implementation committee. <o:p></o:p></p>

</span>Some aspects of the programme have already been delivered. This includes power to schools, digital content and teacher training.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto">The cost of the first phase of the project is estimated at 17 billion shillings and will deliver 1.2 million devices in the next two years to cover all public primary schools. The
pilot phase of 150 schools is planned for September, 2015.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto">This follows a recent directive by the Office of the President that the Ministry of ICT heads the programme.
