Kenya to host the 2nd African Internet Governance Forum (AfIGF)<br>
<br>
Dear Stakeholders,<br>
<br>
Following a bid submitted by the Government of the Republic of Kenya<br>
through the Ministry of Information and Communication in February 2013 and<br>
confirmed in March, the AfIGF secretariat is pleased to announce that the<br>
2nd African Internet Governance Forum will be held in Kenya from 11-13<br>
September 2013. The meeting will be hosted by the Government in<br>
cooperation with the Internet Society Kenya Chapter.<br>
<br>
Kenya has hosted with great success the 5th Internet Governance Forum<br>
(IGF), which had the highest number of participants in the history of the<br>
IGF.<br>
<br>
The AfIGF secretariat takes this opportunity to thank the Government and<br>
people of Kenya for agreeing to host, after Egypt, such an important<br>
African event.<br>

Suite à l’offre faite par le Gouvernement de la République du Kenya à<br>
travers le Ministère de l’Information et de la Communication en<br>
février 2013 et confirmée en mars, le secrétariat AfIGF a le plaisir<br>
d’annoncer la tenue du 2eme Forum africain sur la Gouvernance de<br>
l’Internet au Kenya du 11 au 13 septembre 2013. La réunion sera<br>
organisée par le Gouvernement en coopération avec le Chapitre Internet<br>
Society du Kenya.<br>

Le Kenya a abrité avec un succès retentissant le 5eme Forum sur la<br>
Gouvernance de l’Internet (IGF), qui avait battu le record du plus grand<br>
nombre de participants de toutes les réunions IGF qui ont été tenues à<br>
ce jour.<br>

Le secrétariat d’AfIGF saisit cette opportunité pour rendre hommage au<br>
Gouvernement et à la population du Kenya d’avoir accepté d’abriter,<br>
après l’Egypte, un événement africain d’une si grande importance.<br>
