Mr Kibati, have you been on Kenyatta Avenue of late? I bet you probably never find your way to Luthuli Avenue. I dont think it matters who the roads are under, but this is basically an indication of the kind of mediocrity that you must deal with if you will have any hopes of delivering on vision 2030. From shoddy jobs, to shoddy organization. The road between Embassy Roundabout and Museum Hill ( I am not sure if its called Kipande Road) was built less than 15 years ago. Today there is no road there worth talking about. Thats how we do our things. Short term solutions where we should be overhauling the entire system. I am sure right now someone is working on an RFP for that particular road.

Kenya, and Nairobi in particular, needs to have a complete overhaul of everything. We need to plan this city afresh, from square 1. Then we must come up with a plan for the next 100 years. The big infrastructure projects going on will help a lot in developing the economy, but what will that mean for the peasant who cant get adequate medical care when they are sick? Will our people die of hunger again next year if rains fail? Are we waiting for that to happen so that we can have yet another mega fund raiser on M-Pesa? Everything is just ridiculous if you think about it.

Your biggest fight is one against this one evil. Nature does not tolerate mediocrity!

On Wed, Jun 27, 2012 at 6:04 PM, Mugo Kibati <mugo@vision2030.go.ke> wrote:
