I think that what's needed is consumer education to help people understand the effect of such download sites on copyright etc., and at the same time, a call on the copyright owners to reduce the prices of their products and also to make them readily available so as to reduce the incentives for people to use torrent sites, or better yet find better ways of using P2P sites. While blocking sites such as piratebay may be options, i think such measures need to be balanced with the right of citizens to access information freely, without unnecessary restrictions, since i believe that there is legitimate 'copyright free' information that is transmitted in peer networks.<div>
