Hi,

Kenya had a "strongman" but Kenyans wanted a country governed by
strong institutions and thus the new constitution. The transformation
is still on going. Rwanda and Kenya are neighbours but we are
distinctly different in many aspects so we need not cut and paste
their governance. Lets have faith in our institutions.
Kagame will go but Rwanda will remain. Kenyatta passed on but Kenya is still here.
With the right attitude, we can go far. Look at it this way, why are the current political class yearning to be the leaders of Kenya, is not because they have the passion for Kenya. They want:

to maintain the status quo - make the poor more poor and rich more richer

to protect their interests - because by becoming a president, personal assets can in a way be protected by the state machinery.

Just interrogate their manifestos and you'll see what it's all about. Although most of the time we blame leaders, it's very important to develop the remain people who are informed, intellect and guard the rule of law. Kenya, we must remember is bigger than individuals.

That's how the dream of the new Kenya, can be achieved.
