Listers,<BR><BR>Other the last couple of days there has been growing interest in
the status<BR>of the government build National Optical Fiber Backbone
Infrastructure.<BR>Since last week PS Dr. Ndemo and his team at the MOIC have
been engaging<BR>operators in discussions to find the best way to maximize value
on the<BR>government built NOFBI infrastructure. In summary the outcome of
the<BR>meetings has been that;<BR>1. NOFBI is accessible to all interested
licensed operators who shall<BR>provide the last mile solutions to their
customers. <BR>2. A management committee comprising of various operators and
government has<BR>been put in place to finalize on suitable pricing and ensure
as many people<BR>as possible have access to the backbone infrastructure
and ensure that it<BR>is eventually self-sustainable.<BR>3. The management
committee shall share quarterly reports on the progress <BR><BR>It is the hope
of all those involved that the use of this shared platform<BR>will be a
