In that magazine, we discussed issues of Internet Freedom, with our key focus on what some writers called the digital revolution of Egypt. As predicted, that revolution would have far more lasting implications on, not just Egypt, but the whole continent: and as it appears, even on <em>PC Tech Magazine</em><em>!</em><br></font><p style="margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:12px;margin-left:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px"><font class="ecxApple-style-span" face="Tahoma" size="2"><br></font></p><p style="margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:12px;margin-left:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px"><font class="ecxApple-style-span" face="Tahoma" size="2">The subsequent growth of social networking within Egypt and Africa as a whole made it necessary for us to take another look at the subject, albeit from another point of view: what weve referred to as "<em>artificial conversations".</em> With a major contribution to one Indian blogger, Nilofar Ansher, who is also an online producer for G3ICT (Global Initiative for Inclusive ICTs), the story assesses the technical <em>convenience </em>of the Facebook and Twitter, as well as their role in Ugandas walk-to-work protests.</font></p><p style="margin-right:0px;margin-bottom:12px;margin-left:0px;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px"><font class="ecxApple-style-span" face="Tahoma" size="2">If you attended, or read about the Africa Internet Entrepreneurs Conference of March 18, 2011, then the name, Michael Niyitegeka rings a bell.
