the Kenya we want...when institutions will be allowed to function without
political influence/interference/patronage/etc etc. When appointments will
be made based on merit/professionalism and a proven record of hard work, etc<br>

I was hoping against hope that with the CCK, and another parastatal don't
recall, which one (KPA?), acted differently by adopting good corporate
governance procedures for recruitment by placing <span style=""></span><span style=""></span>adverts
for the chief executive positions, short listing, etc etc that finally we were
serious about being professional and practicing good governance. Local press praised both institutions at that time. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="" lang="EN-GB">But now, I
suppose, if we are all in agreement that the decision should be delayed because
it has to be a political decision, despite having subjected the recruitment to
"proper" process, then I dare say that nothing has really
changed....poor Kenyan's!<br>
