Hagen has
selected<br>Wolfgang Kleinwaechter as Associate Chair. Due to the bylaws, George<br>Sadowsky, the previous Nom Com Chair will serve as an advisor to the<br>current Nom Com.<br><br>2008 Nom Com will select:<br>Two members of the ICANN Board of Directors<br> One member of the Council of the Generic Names Supporting Organization
(GNSO)<br> One member of the Council of the Country-Code Names Supporting<br>Organization (ccNSO)<br> Two members of the At Large Advisory Committee (ALAC) (European and<br>North American regions)<br> Those selected by the Nom Com will take their seats at the end of the<br>2008 ICANN Annual Meeting, 7 November 2008.<br><br>First tasks of the Committee were to begin work on procedures and a<br>timeline for activities during 2007-2008. The Nom Com's 2008 website<br>will be available soon, and candidate recruitment is anticipated to<br>begin in mid-December 2007.<br><br>The Nom Com intends to hold a workshop during the ICANN meeting in<br>Delhi, India to provide information about progress and process and<br>answer questions. The workshop will be webcast and remote access<br>provided.
