of the discussion will focus on the 2021 #KeepItOn report by
Access Now  at 9am - 10:30 am GMT/12pm - 1:30 pm EAT.

In 2021, Access Now and the #KeepItOn coalition documented at least 182
incidents of authorities deliberately shutting down the internet.

This exposes a dramatic increase in the use of this oppressive form of
control compared to 159 shutdowns recorded in 29 countries in 2020.

This webinar will be a learning space for participants in countries that
have major upcoming national events that are likely to trigger shutdowns in
2022 and beyond to prepare and mobilize in order to push back against
internet shutdowns in their countries.
