The paper "Learning Mobile Repairing By Doing And With Others" [0] 
co-authored by Valérie Payen Jean Baptiste[1] is a study of how people 
educate themselves to be able to provide services to others in Haiti. 
The situation seems very similar in Kenya, and making this kind of self 
taught learning process more effective is one way to increase ICT 
competencies for the general public.  As ICT innovation occurs 
frequently, expecting people to learn what they need to know in an 
educational institution is unrealistic, instead effective means of 
continually acquiring new and updated knowledge are required.
