New rules for preventing the dissemination of terrorist content online
were published, as the US Department of Defense unveiled its new cyber
strategy. Intense data localisation discussions continued to unfold in
India. September was also a busy time for the courts, as the European
Court of Human Rights ruled on the UK's mass surveillance programme,
while the Court of Justice of the European Union heard arguments on
Google's right to be forgotten case.
