The Internet Freedom Festival (IFF) just opened its call for proposals.
As someone who has attended this event in the past, I think you would
really love the IFF experience. You get to meet amazing, passionate
people from around the world and learn important skills. Also, through
their Diversity and Inclusion Fund, they will fund presenters from the
Global South and underrepresented regions can receive travel funding.

A bit of background: The IFF takes place every year in Valencia, Spain.
It is considered one of the largest and most diverse inclusive
gatherings in the Internet Freedom space. It brings together over 1000
people from +100 countries, to join forces against online censorship and
surveillance. People in attendance includes activists, technologists,
digital security trainers, journalists, designers, policy advocates, and
much more. The goal of this one-of-a-kind gathering is to allow people
to share knowledge and resources, and collectively improve the services,
strategies, and tools offered to individuals on the frontlines. The 2018
