[kictanet] Can the Trump Administration increase it's powers over ICANN?

There is no transition currently. Transition happened. And finished.
The US government does not have any oversight contract with ICANN.

Now, can US government reverse the transition? We should rephrase the
question to "Can the US government take over a private company?". To
answer that question, we should remember ICANN is a California based
organisation operating under US law. I got this passage from Quora "In
short, the government can seize pretty much anything you own, for
pretty much any reason,.... And if you're concerned about the rising
tide of tyranny, remember that eminent domain, in one form or another,
has pretty much existed for as long as there have been governments."

The legal experts should now come in and give us their perspective
