Thanks for sharing. However, after reading the article I'm loath to ask:-

What is the purpose of Privacy without Freedom?

As the above link shows China ranks last in Internet Freedoms. As I see it the choice is this:-

1. Lock me in my house and tell me you have privacy but just within the four walls of the house.

2. You are free to roam the world, visit Disneyland, movies, Hawaii, the Mara etc but I will track your every movement. Every movement, including watching me as I take a dump while reading my emails on my iPad, iPhone etc. 

The choices we have today... :-)

Except one thing though. The privacy laws that China is imposing isn't philanthropic. They are specifically designed to protect their citizens from foreign influences.  

This is a sham.
