Mwendwa

I think even the suggestion that there was collaboration between KeNIC and DCA is quite erroneous. I remember very clearly that this was tabled at a board meeting and was rejected by the board. In fact KeNIC was even a part of the original discussion in Johannesburg regarding KeNIC collaboration with other ccTLDs and the Africa Union to go for the .Africa domain. I know this Mwendwa because I was a board member at KeNIC then and participated in the Joburg meeting.

We need to be careful how we articulate issues and be more responsible in our reporting. Ignorance is not a defense and the said journalist should have sought background information and reached out to experts in the space. There's simply no excuse for making such a blatant mistake.
