[kictanet] Kenya cuts cost of acquiring .ke domain by a third

One thing that I'd hope is not lost on this discussions is the tremendous growth of the .ke domain. I understand we are now at 58k domains? This is more than Nigeria with a population 2.5 times ours but sadly a drop in the ocean when we bring in South Africa to the equation with a million+ domains. 

.ke is a national treasure and if we follow the global domain trend we see now that ccTLDs are upstaging gTLDs in demand. Let's face it:-

You are more likely today to get a .ke extension to your brand than a .com. KeNIC has done very well to date. The onus is on us to give them ALL our support to grow the .ke space.

Now do I hear people rushing to ditch their gmail accounts for personal email and rushing to register that .me.ke domain? :-)
