The presumption of offering 'Free basics' under the pretense of reaching out to the underprivileged clearly undermines the net neutrality policies.

Telcos, ISP's & govts should treat all data on the Internet the same, without discriminating, differenting or offering preferential treatment to any content or platform. Period!!

Just received an email that stakeholders in Uganda (via their ISOC chapter) have drafted a letter to the Minister of ICT requesting to meet and engage on the NN discussion. Good move on their end, and will keep tabs on the outcome.
