Subject: [Internet Policy] Apparently US Customs wants to socmed
accounts on entry
To: ISOC INTERNETPOLICY <internetpolicy at elists.isoc.org>

Apparently US Customs wants to add a social media question on their forms
so that all people entering the USA will have to provide a list of social
media accounts on entry. Apart from the fact that, as an Australian, most
Australians are half asleep and we wouldn’t spell any correctly and it
would blow out the time it takes to fill out those stupid forms, how many
terrorists are going to truthfully answer? Then all the other countries
will want to add it to their forms… pathetic…

See the US Centre for Democracy and Technology article on this topic:
https://cdt.org/blog/your-chance-to-say-no-to-proposed-social-media-questioning-on-us-customs/

Really?
