[kictanet] How Barclays Aims to Bring a Billion Unbanked into the Fold

Yes! Barclays has incubators in every major global hub, including Cape
Town. These incubators have included blockchain and bitcoin companies in
each graduating class for the last few years.

They have partnered with Circle, the Goldman Sachs-backed, giant that
dominates US, European and soon Chinese retail payments using Blockchain.

They are working with extremely small start-ups, like Stellar, and very
well-funded start-ups.

It is crazy that other African banks have been so slow to start their own
research! It does not cost a lot to do this, as many start-ups would
partner for free. The only cost is opening your mind.
